About This Grow Kit

This kit includes everything you need to grow Black King Oyster mushrooms at home. Unlike cluster-forming oyster varieties, King Oysters develop large stems and substantial caps, producing one of the most prized gourmet mushrooms available.

What to Expect

After cutting an opening and beginning to mist, mushroom pins will begin to form near the opening. These mushrooms develop more slowly than oyster varieties but mature into thick, sturdy mushrooms with impressive size and texture.

When to Harvest

Harvest when the caps are fully developed and still slightly curled under at the edges.

Basic Care Overview

Place the kit in indirect light and away from fans, vents, or dry air. Cut an "X" in the bag and mist the opening several times a day to maintain moisture and encourage healthy growth.
